July Came And Is Now Almost Gone

July has been a busy month for us, thus the lack of posts..We will
try and do the month in review for you.

The July 4th holiday we had family over to watch the small
firework show at our house.

Grandma with her girls.

This might have been the finale to our excellent
firework show.

Carl's grandpa died around mid-July. He went down
by himself to the funneral in California. He took some pictures of
the beautiful wine country since we failed to take pictures
when we were out there 1 month before. The grapes are
formed to grow up and out along the fence. The hills
are just covered with them. It is really cool to see.

Then came Kimee's 2-year-old birthday party at
the local park. She likes to swing and get "underdoggies"
Here Emilee asked to take her picture in the swing
and she gives Emilee her playful 2-year-old attitude.

It didn't really take her long to figure out how to open
the presents. It was fun to watch.

Some things never go out of style do they?

She wasn't so sure of the "fire" on the candles..

but she sure did love the cake. She even helped
Mommy put on the sprinkles.

Kimee had all of her cousins come to the party
but for some reason we only got a picture of
her cousin Elli.

Kimee Has Something to Say...

She is going to be a BIG sister.

We are proud to announce that Kimee
will have a little baby BROTHER. She
probably won't understand what that means
until he comes and does not go away... For now,
we are getting her used the idea. We still don't know
about a name but we have a few months to figure
that out. (Suggestions are welcome.) We are excited
that our family is growing. The due date is Thanksgiving
Day. (Hopefully, Emilee will be able to eat some turkey..)
Emilee has been feeling good, just a little
tired but that may be due to having an almost
2-year-old, who knows..

July 4th

We had a fun holiday. We went to the Balloon Festival.
This is something we have made a family tradition.
There weren't as many as last year and they did
not launch due to possible bad weather. It was still
fun. Kimee liked the balloons and asks now to see them every day.

Then on the 4th we went to downtown Provo to the
parade and other festivities. Carl carried Kimee in
the back pack and she seemed to like it. There were
a few cars along one street and of course Carl had to look.
He likes the old cars best. We did do fireworks but Kimee
was not so sure about them so we will try again tonight.
