Christmas Day

We really enjoyed Christmas this year!

This was Christmas Eve at the Brown's House.
There was a lot of excitement there as Kimee
has 4 older nephews and a niece. She did understand
how to open the presents. She even played with
some of the gifts after she opened them. She got
a doll with a carrier. She really liked that. She also
really liked the dum-dum suckers.. (A common theme
throughout some of these pictures) She has a sweet
tooth just like her Daddy.

This was Christmas Morning at our house.
We were actually waiting for Kimee to wake
up. (We are sure that won't happen too many more
times.) We were just as excited as she was for Christmas.
She came down the stairs and saw the lights on the tree,
which she loves, and then she saw her presents. It did
not take long for her realize there was candy in the stocking.

She as very excited about her bike. We might have
jumped the gun a little as the bike is still pretty
big for her. We are just hoping that she will
be able to touch the pedals come Spring.

This was the other present, the sled. She really liked
it and we were glad that we had a white Christmas
so we could use it. She probably could have gone
longer but Daddy and Mommy were getting tired
of pulling her. We had really nice Christmas. The rest
of the day was spent power kiting with Andy's kite
and flying Carl's new kite, one that will keep him on the
ground. I believe it's safer that way for now.
There will be more pictures coming soon.

The Last Month

In late November, we enjoyed a visit from Carl's extended
family, Aunt, Uncle and Grandpa. This makes 4 generations
for Kimberlee. Something I never had. It was fun to visit with
them and for them to see Kimberlee for the first time.

Our Christmas Tree was up a few days before Thanksgiving, thanks to Carl's doing. He got the Christmas bug early and even did lights on the outside of the house. Kimberlee loves the tree and does pretty well about not touching it. She does insist that the lights be turned on when she wakes up and that they are turned off before we leave. She loves to say "bye" to everything, even the cows in the field as we drive by.

We also enjoyed introducing Kimberlee to the snow. She was a little unsure at first. She got a little more brave after she saw her cousins playing in it. I had a hard time getting her to come in even though she was cold.

These two cousins have too much fun together. They like to mimic eachother. This time they were playing with mixing bowls on their heads. They do pretty well at entertaining eachother.

POWER KITING ADVENTURE!

Andy is really into this extreme sport called Power Kiting.
Carl thought it would be fun to try so one day they went to
the school by our house. Andy gave Carl some instructions but
failed to mention what to do after you got in the air and how to
land. Carl had fun but doesn't remember too much as he must
have blacked out. Also, I guess after he did land the kite pulled him
on the ground for several more feet. I was not there to witness this
and it was probably a good thing. His body was a little sore but he
wants to do it again.
