The Magic Number of 18 months...

Kimee is now 18-months-old and this is exciting to us
because she can now go to Nursery! She went
for her first time on Sunday and she did well.
We as parents were so excited but it felt weird
to be in Sunday School together. Usually one of us
was wondering the hall with her becasue she wouldn't
sit still. (Sound familiar anyone?) Every time the
door opened Emilee would check to see if they were
brining Kimberlee to her. A nervous motherly habit...

This was her after all the excitement
when we got home. She didn't even cry.
Let's hope it continues to be that easy.

A New Adventure!

Kimee has discovered how fun it is to "help" with the
dishes. We are still trying to teach her the correct order,
wash, rinse, dry. She moves everything Emilee
washes from the rinse side of the sink back into the
soapy water on the wash side. It took Emilee a little
awhile to catch on to what she was doing. So maybe that
is why it took so long to finish all the dishes. Here are the
pictures of the process, the during, the middle with water
all down her front, and the after cleaning up all the water
that went on the floor.

Cold Utah January

For a few mornings we had frost on the trees. It
looked pretty cool when the sun came out. It
is hard see the sparkle of the frost on the trees
but I decided to put these pictures on anyway.

Daddy's Girl.

Kimberlee had her first pork chop experience the other night, and she made me proud. I got up to get something to drink after we finished our dinner. When I returned, my little girl was chewing on the pork chop bone - trying to get the last bit of meat off of it. There have been other indicators in the past, but this solidifies the fact that she is daddy's girl. That was one of the proudest moments in my parenting career.

Just Hanging Out

We had a busy Saturday and it just ended up being
too much for Kimee. She got this blanket and curled
up on Dad's legs. She must have been comfortable.

Kimee is really into having her shoes on
all the time. So one day before I could even
get her dressed out her PJs she brought me
her shoes. Emilee tried to explain to her that
she needed to get dressed first. Emilee
put the shoes on hoping to teach Kimee a lesson
but it kind of back fired. Kimee thought it was
great and didn't want to take them off. Oh the
things kids do that make you smile.
(As a side note, she helped take this picture)

Andy and Abbey's Wedding

So the holidays were busier than normal due to Emilee's little brother getting married. (She still can't believe it!)

The kids.

Emilee had high hopes of getting Kimee's hair all pretty
for the reception. While Kimee was in the bathtub, we attempted
the first go at the curlers.. We would have done a before
and after shot here but there really was no after shot..
Her hair was too fine and didn't hold the curl much to
Emilee's disappointment. Oh well, at least we got some cute pictures.

This was how the two cousins enjoyed the reception,
in the foyer, on the couch, playing with the light switch.

Fasicinated now that she can
reach light switches.
