Fireworks

We went to see the firework show in Mapleton last night. The kids enjoyed themselves, and I took advantage of the time to try some firework pictures. I had never had much success in the past shooting fireworks, but feel that this time I got some to work out. For all of you "photogs" out there, these were 4-second exposures taken at f13.8. Also, to let the "purists" know, I did crop the images but made no further modification to the files. It is kind of hard to know exactly where the fireworks are going to be when composing the shot. Hope you like them.

July Holiday Festivities

We have had a fun July so far inspite of Kimee's broken foot and me being tired, hot, and very pregnant. We are so glad Carl is done with school for GOOD.. Wahoo!! Now, he can enjoy some of the activities with us this summer. Kimee has gone to a few parades. I think she likes the candy-throwing part more than the parade. She has made out like a bandit with a lot of candy.. Anyway, here are a few pictures.

There is a Balloon Festival every year in Provo. I have gone pretty much every year and now my husband and kids are part of the tradition.

This was one of Kimee's favorites.
